About D.U.O
Do Unto One Another Foundation was created to report on truth, bring hidden concerns into the light, and help communities better understand issues of social injustice.
Our work is rooted in documentation, public awareness, education, and accountability. We believe that when truth is organized clearly, it becomes harder for injustice to remain ignored.
Our Story Begins Here
Do Unto One Another Foundation is not like any other founder’s story — because D.U.O. was born nearly ten years before it was ever given a name.
Yes, ten years is a long time. But long before the foundation became official, the mission had already begun.
It started with Jason Nguyen and John Jones, two people who wanted to create change not only for themselves, but for the prison system as a whole. They saw the burdens carried by incarcerated people, their families, and the communities affected by broken systems. They understood that real change would require more than hope — it would require truth, structure, resources, and people willing to stand together.
But with no money and limited resources, the vision could not fully take shape at first. Years passed. Plans changed. Life changed. But the mission never did.
The purpose remained clear: to impact prisons, challenge injustice, and help bring change not only for their own lives, but for others who carried the same burdens and picked up the same cross.
Over time, that vision grew. Aaron Flores and James Fisher, already aware of Jason’s cause and his fight, joined the effort. Then Josh Luu and Ben Newman became part of the collective, helping strengthen the foundation’s direction, voice, and purpose.
As faith would have it, these individuals came together with one shared belief: truth should not remain hidden simply because people lack the platform, tools, or resources to report it.
From that belief, Do Unto One Another Foundation was finally realized.
Today, our mission is clear:
We report on truth to end social injustice.
Through issue reports, public education, and awareness, D.U.O. exists to bring overlooked concerns into the light, give structure to unheard voices, and help turn truth into meaningful change.
What Makes Us Different
We do not simply tell stories. We structure them. D.U.O. focuses on turning concerns into clear issue reports by identifying the problem, understanding who is affected, reviewing relevant standards or rules, organizing facts, and presenting information in a way communities can understand. Our work is built around clarity, documentation, and accountability.
We begin with facts, evidence, and lived experience.
Truth
We believe every person deserves to be heard and respected.
Dignity
Our Values
Accountability
We report so injustice cannot remain invisible.
Compassion
We approach difficult issues with care, humanity, and respect for those affected.
